Measurement Matters: A State & Local Government Conversation
Presented by Environmental Protection Agency and Re-TRAC Connect
The State Measurement Program (SMP), now in its 5th year, is a collaborative effort among 41 states (and counting) across the USA to share waste & recycling program information & successes. States can share and compare their annual tonnage data (disposal, recycling, composting), tipping fees, FTEs, funding mechanisms, as well as access visual comparison maps of many of these variables.
This year's workshop will highlight:
- Interactive and live-system review of the most recent SMP results
- Data collection challenges and how some States have overcome these barriers
- Opportunities to further standardize data across all levels of government
- A free program that allows you to publicly share your State’s successes & data with your constituents (RecycleSearch)
- "Weigh in" on metrics that you find important
- How you can participate in the upcoming 1st National Measurement Summit, February 27 - March 1, 2018, in Chattanooga, TN
