Plant a tree with the MMP is back!
Plant a Tree with the MMP is back for another year, and we’re excited to collaborate once again with One Tree Planted. Last year we planted over 500 trees, and we’re on a mission to exceed that number this year! Whether you’re already an MMP member or you are joining for the first time, once you complete the three core surveys by December 31, 2021, a tree will be planted in the U.S. or Canada. Trees play a huge role in our environment - they clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and sequester harmful atmospheric carbon, helping to mitigate rapid climate change.
WHAT IS THE MMP?
The MMP is a free Program Assessment and Planning Tool that delivers insights and actionable recommendations to municipal waste management agencies. By completing the surveys, you will be able to generate various reports to aid in your local sustainability initiatives. To see all the benefits of participation, click here.
WHERE WILL THE TREES BE PLANTED?
The trees will be planted and distributed across the U.S. and Canada in regions that have been affected by wildfires or need habitat restoration such as California, Oregon, and British Columbia. You can find out more about One Tree Planted’s projects here.
HOW DO I GET A TREE PLANTED?
Every municipality, county, or regional government agency that completes the three core MMP surveys for the 2020 reporting year will have a tree planted on their behalf. If you're already an MMP member and you completed all three core surveys, you're all set! A tree will be planted on your behalf and thank you for your participation.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?
Our month-long campaign ends on December 31, 2021. Get your MMP data in today!
